Staging History

March 6, 1770 may not be a day that lives in infamy, but the previous day, March 5, was notorious for being the day of the Boston Massacre, one of the seminal events that lead to the American Revolution. A new play by local writer Patrick Gabridge, however, recounts the aftermath of that tragic occurrence in the very building where the scenes depicted actually took place. Get an inside glimpse of the debate that raged among Boston’s leaders that day at the world premiere of Blood on the Snow, which is being staged inside the Old State House’s Council Chamber. Shows have been selling out, so get your tickets now before this unique marriage of theater and history closes on June 5.
