Many New England kids have dreamed of someday playing at Fenway Park, but most of those aspirations have been of the big-league baseball variety. The region has long been a hotbed of hockey talent, so it’s no surprise that youngsters can now look forward to playing that sport at America’s favorite ballpark as well. Once again, Frozen Fenway takes place on Yawkey Way January 5–16, featuring a stacked lineup of local college and high school men’s and women’s teams facing off in the shadow of the Green Monster. That’s not all, though. Residents can even skate for free on the temporary ice sheet beginning at 8:30 a.m. on January 16, and the Frozen Fenway Winter Party on Ice, featuring two special figure skating exhibitions, takes place that afternoon at 1:30 and 6 p.m.
