The annual block-long bash hosted by the French Cultural Center, Bastille Day Party 2017, returns July 14 from 6–11 p.m. with a generous dose of Francophile flair to the stretch of Marlborough Street between Berkeley and Clarendon streets in Boston’s beautiful Back Bay. As with any proper Gallic-themed gathering, food is a centerpiece, with many of the area’s finest French restaurants dishing out delicious cuisine along with beer and wine. And no mere dessert, the musical portion of the evening that caps off this celebration of France’s independence gets the masses moving with the soulful stylings of French singer-songwriter Ben l’Oncle Soul and the masterful singing and guitar playing of Mauritania native Daby Touré (pictured).
