Forget Paris. For that matter, forget New York, London and Milan as well. Boston—for a brief few days, anyway—becomes the center of the art world when the Boston International Fine Art Show comes to town November 11–14. This eighth annual event once again takes place at the Cyclorama at the Boston Center for the Arts in Beantown’s ultra-hip South End.

Roughly 40 top galleries from the United States and Europe are represented at this grand showcase—with about half hailing from New England—proffering everything from paintings and sculptures to prints, drawings and photographs, vintage to modern. The galleries are not the only “international” aspect of the show, either, as artists from around the world have works on display.

Perhaps the best way to take it all in is at the Gala Preview on Thursday, November 11 from 6–9 p.m. This opening night bash features wine, food and free re-admission throughout the weekend for those who purchase a ticket to the event.

Also not to be missed are special lectures by art experts throughout the weekend. Combine all that with works to fit just about every budget and there’s little excuse for art lovers to miss this impressive exhibition.
