This Columbus Day, spend your free time experiencing all the culture the Fenway neighborhood has to offer—for free. That’s the premise behind the 13th annual Opening Our Doors event taking place October 13. Hosted by the Fenway Alliance, Opening Our Doors begins on the Christian Science Plaza at 10 a.m. with a performance by the Boston Children’s Chorus, a Kids Parade led by the Hot Tamale Brass Band and free cupcakes from Oakleaf Cakes. Other highlights include free admission to such area museums as the Museum of Fine Arts, the Isabella Stewart Gardner Museum and the Mary Baker Eddy Library, as well as theater workshops with Wheelock Family Theatre, Boston Children’s Theatre and Huntington Theatre Company.
