Come What May

Welcome spring in Cambridge’s famed Harvard Square on May 5 from 11 a.m.–6 p.m. at the 39th annual MayFair, which returns once again to bring joy to the masses. This grand extravaganza takes over the streets surrounding America’s oldest university, offering dancing, kids activities, beer gardens and a host of vendors selling a wide range of international foods, one-of-a-kind crafts, vintage goods and more. The highlight is sure to be the live music stages, which showcase an eclectic array of music, including that of Mariachi Boston, which performs on the main stage at noon in honor of Cinco de Mayo. In conjunction, revelers can also enjoy the second Asian Street Food & Music Festival and the third annual Filipino American Festival, which rock the Church Street Parking Lot with lively music and colorful dance performances along with delicious delicacies ranging from from bánh mì to dim sum.
