French Accent

After sell-outs in 2014 and 2015, the French Cultural Center’s Bastille Day Party 2016 returns to the Back Bay July 15 from 6–11 p.m. The line-up, programmed by World Music/CRASHarts, showcases two phenomenal francophone acts: Ginkgoa, a blend of vintage Paris chic and New York cool with swinging electro beats, and Emeline Michel (pictured), an internationally acclaimed Haitian songstress who fuses pop, jazz, blues and traditional rhythms. Marlborough Street between Berkeley and Clarendon streets is blocked off to accommodate the expected 2,000 revelers. Don’t miss this grand party filled with live music and dancing that not only celebrates French Independence Day but also cultural diversity and friendship between France and the U.S. Tickets are available for $28 online and $35 at the door.
