An annual event eagerly anticipated by the LGBTQ community and its allies is Boston Pride Week, which this year features the very appropriate theme of “Stronger Together.” Beginning June 2 and culminating the weekend of June 10 & 11 with a parade, festival and several block parties, Pride Week boasts such early highlights as the flag-raising ceremony at City Hall Plaza (June 2 at noon) and Pride Day @ Faneuil Hall (June 3 from 10 a.m.–5 p.m.), which debuts the first High Heel Dash for Charity—a mad scramble featuring runners in high heels and colorful costumes, all to benefit the Boston Pride Community Fund—at 11 a.m. Another worthy cause gets its due June 4 at 10 a.m., when the 32nd AIDS Walk & Run Boston kicks off along the Charles River Esplanade.
