The ninth annual Boston Design Week (BDW) returns this spring from April 26–May 8 to once again shine the spotlight on the creative community here in the Hub. This two-week celebration, consisting of a variety of in-person and online get-togethers, kicks off with several events its first day, including a free party celebrating the 200th birthday of famed landscape architect Frederick Law Olmsted at the Jamaica Pond Boathouse in Jamaica Plain. This inauguration to a host of bicentennial happenings that will continue into the fall features an awards ceremony for local parks advocates and treats from JP bakery Monumental Market. BDW also encompasses lectures, tours, museum exhibits, open studios and networking opportunities for design professionals, as well as the 2022 Boston Design Week Awards on May 6 from 5:30–7:30 p.m. at the Boston Design Center.
