A popular production that made its debut at the Old State House (refer to listing, page 50) last spring, Blood on the Snow returns to the “scene of the crime,” so to speak, beginning June 1. Written by local playwright Patrick Gabridge, this play explores the aftermath of 1770’s Boston Massacre, which took place right outside the walls of the building in which this re-creation is being staged. The incident in question, a tragedy in which five Bostonians lost their lives when British soldiers fired on an angry mob, is examined by actors who portray the city leaders who looked to prevent a wider outbreak of violence.
