As the latest superhero epics take over the cineplex this summer, it’s a good time to celebrate the ink-and-paper origins of some of pop culture’s most enduring icons. One great way to do that is by attending Boston Comic Con at the Boston Convention & Exhibition Center August 11–13. This colorful event—full of comicdom’s best creators along with fans in creative costumes—is celebrating 10 years in style, featuring the final East Coast appearance by the legendary Stan Lee, along with a special 20th anniversary gathering of “Buffy the Vampire Slayer” cast members (including Boston’s own Eliza Dushku) and a live podcast with Silent Bob himself, Kevin Smith.
