A champion of diversity both in front of and behind the camera, the 21st annual Roxbury International Film Festival once again offers a variety of documentaries, features and short films at multiple venues in the Fenway and Roxbury from June 19–29. The celebration begins on June 19 at 8:30 p.m. with a free screening of the Oscar-winning Spider-Man: Into the Spiderverse on the Huntington Avenue lawn of the Museum of Fine Arts that also features fun family activities beginning at 7 p.m. The official opening night, held at the MFA’s Remis Auditorium on June 20, includes a new documentary about the life and work of acclaimed author Toni Morrison (pictured) and the absurdist, Mexico-set romantic comedy Una Great Movie.
