Celebrating 10 years of highlighting the Hub’s vibrant, dynamic design scene, Boston Design Week returns to dazzle the masses at a variety of venues April 25–May 7. An exclusive sneak preview on April 24 at the Mandarin Oriental, Boston has already sold out, yet aficionados of the aesthetically pleasing still have 12 days of lectures, tours, parties and more from which to choose. Highlights include a kick-off party at Massachusetts College of Art on April 25 from 5:30–7:30 p.m., the Boston Design Awards at Boston Architectural College on May 5 from 5:30–8:30 p.m. and the finale (pictured) on May 7 from 1–4 p.m. at the Harvard Club of Boston, which showcases the collection of JW Reilly-Boston while patrons mingle with a live fashion model wearing the latest haut couture and witness silversmiths and painters ply their arts. And for those that can’t get enough of great design, there’s even a post-festival event on May 11 from 1–4 p.m. at Salem’s Peabody Essex Museum featuring a cocktail reception with Boston-based fashion entrepreneur Yolanda Cellucci.
