Drawing parallels between two iconic 20th century artists, the new exhibit Georgia O’Keeffe and Henry Moore that debuts at the Museum of Fine Arts October 13 makes connections between the revered American painter and influential British sculptor who both crafted abstract interpretations of natural forms. This unique display, the first of its kind, brings together more than 150 works, all presented alongside faithful reproductions of O’Keeffe’s studio in New Mexico and Moore’s space in England. Massachusetts residents can get a glimpse of this show and other museum highlights like the current Dalí: Disruption and Devotion exhibit for free on October 14 for a special Indigenous Peoples’ Day open house, which also includes lessons on making pottery inspired by Native North American tradition, presentations by Native artists and curators, musical performances, a special 60-minute guided tour of the museum and more.
