High 5: Thanksgiving Feasts

Gather with friends and family this November 28 at one of these top destinations

Davio’s Northern Italian Steakhouse: Boston area locations of this fine dining stalwart offer in-person Thanksgiving dining that won’t disappoint from 11 a.m.–8 p.m. The menu varies slightly from site to site, yet hungry patrons can expect plenty of oven-roasted Vermont free-range organic turkey along with savory sides and delectable pies. Take-out can be ordered by November 26 and picked up at either the Back Bay, Chestnut Hill or Foxborough outposts.

Lucie Dine & Drink: The Colonnade Hotel’s eatery presents both in-person and takeout repasts for the occasion, both of which are highlighted by roast turkey, butternut squash, wild mushroom brioche stuffing and cranberry chutney. November 28 attendees can also opt for non-traditional menu items like tuna tartare, pork osso bucco, pizza and more.

Matria (pictured): From noon–6 p.m., the InterContinental Boston’s waterfront eatery provides an elegant setting in which to enjoy such seasonal delicacies as chestnut and apple-stuffed roast turkey and apple cider donuts with butterscotch cream, as well as a chef’s carving station. For homebodies, there’s a to-go version of the meal that can be picked up either the day before or day of the holiday.

Peregrine: The Beacon Hill restaurant located at The Whitney Hotel boasts a prix fixe, three-course cornucopia of flavors that includes such selections as Dijon maple-roasted glazed Brussels sprouts, coconut and ginger pumpkin bisque, pan-seared salmon, mushroom duxelle risotto, pasta Bolognese, and pumpkin and apple pie. And yes, there is turkey, so save some room—if you can.

Plimoth Patuxent Museums: Journey down to Plymouth to experience Thanksgiving near where it all began. Choose from the nearly sold-out Story of Thanksgiving dinner, which takes place both November 28 & 29 and includes a plated meal with turkey and classic New England trimmings; the Thanksgiving Day Homestyle Buffet; and the New England Harvest Feast, which offers authentic takes on historic recipes accompanied by old-time psalms and songs on select dates before Thanksgiving as well as on Black Friday.
