High 5: Thanksgiving Take-Out

Leave the cooking to the pros this holiday by ordering a Turkey Day feast from one of these top kitchens

Coach Grill: The steakhouse in suburban Wayland not only serves a prix fixe menu of holiday delights on Thanksgiving itself, it also offers a takeout packaged meal serving 4–6 that boasts turkey, stuffing, whipped potatoes and pumpkin cheesecake, among other items. If that’s not enough, extra à la carte sides can be added, with all available for pickup on November 27 & 28.

Community Servings: The local charity dedicated to providing nutritious meals to the critically ill and food-insecure brings back Pie in the Sky, its annual bake-sale fundraiser. Simply select apple, pumpkin or pecan pies on its site—and even add an extra donation while you’re there—for pickup on November 26 at more than 40 locations throughout the Boston area, with proceeds going to help the non-profit carry out its important mission.

Jasper White’s Summer Shack: This restaurant may be a seafood specialist, yet it doesn’t skimp on all the traditional fixings on Thanksgiving. Go to its site to order individual items or a packaged feast that includes Southern-fried or roasted turkey, mashed potatoes, cornbread stuffing, butternut squash, gravy and cranberry sauce before picking up your meal on November 27 from noon–6 p.m. at either the Back Bay or Cambridge locations.

Nubar: The restaurant at Harvard Square’s Sheraton Commander Hotel offers an overflowing buffet on November 28 from noon–6 p.m. as well as Thanksgiving meals to go—which include turkey and/or ham, seasonal vegetables, stuffing, whipped potatoes, candied yams and more—that can be ordered via phone by November 21 for pickup on the morning of the holiday from 10–11:45 a.m.

The Smoke Shop (pictured): Andy Husband’s Boston area barbecue chain once again offers a boxed dinner for two (order by November 20 for pickup on November 26 or 27) containing both turkey breast and thigh along with pork loin ham, cranberry sauce, mashed sweet potatoes and more. There’s also an à la carte option (order by November 22 for pick on November 27), with selections ranging from a whole smoked turkey and smoked brisket to sides like green bean casserole and Texas toast stuffing.
