Haunted Happenings: Salem is one of the best places in the world to celebrate the scary and supernatural, especially during this month-long celebration that takes over most of Witch City with colorful parades, haunted tours, raucous costume parties and so much more.
Nightmare Bar Boston (pictured): Elaborate Halloween decorations, imaginative adult beverages and creepy surprises are the centerpieces of this 90-minute experience that takes over South Boston pickleball parlor PKL Boston from October 3–31.
Mystery at the Museum: The Masquerade Heist: The immersive art installations that make up the museum WNDR Boston at Downtown Crossing welcome this unique experience on select weekend weekend evenings from October 4–November 1. This interactive event offers patrons the opportunity to discover a high-stakes masked ball hidden within the galleries where a precious artifact has disappeared. From October 4–November 2, the facility is also decked out with glowing pumpkins for Pumpkin Lights & Playful Frights, which includes plenty of special trick-or-treating activities for the kids.
Kids Halloween Balloon Magic Show: This free, kid-centered event is hosted by award-winning Downtown food hall High Street Place on October 25 from 11 a.m.–noon. Bring your little ones dressed in their favorite costumes and enjoy balloon artistry and entertainment courtesy of Jungle Jim followed by a Halloween party.
Black + White Ball: This 21+ costume party at the Seaport’s Institute of Contemporary Art takes place October 25 & 26 from 8 p.m.–midnight and features DJs, surprise performances, themed food and cocktails, and striking monochromatic décor created by local artist Jaina Cipriano.
