Looking to have a blast and support a good cause at the same time? There’s two much-anticipated events that raise money for local non-profits this spring that fit that bill. First up, on May 13, is Zootopia, a fiesta benefiting Zoo New England’s Franklin Park and Stone zoos. Held at the Royal Sonesta Boston (40 Edwin Land Blvd.) in Cambridge, this soiree by the Charles River features cocktails, dinner and dancing, along with appearances by some of the zoo’s furry friends. On May 17, check out the Party in the Park luncheon (Pinebank Promontory, 350 Jamaicaway, emeraldnecklace.org), held at picturesque Jamaica Pond to benefit the preservation of Frederick Law Olmsted’s Emerald Necklace park system. Creative hats like the ones pictured are all part of the fun.
