Although the Broadway hit Finding Neverland tells the story of British writer J.M. Barrie and the creation of his beloved character Peter Pan, the musical based on the 2004 film engages in a bit of a homecoming when it lands at the Boston Opera House beginning August 8. This production did, after all, make its world premiere in 2014 at Cambridge’s American Repertory Theater (A.R.T.) under the direction of A.R.T. artistic director, Diane Paulus, before transferring to the Great White Way. So welcome back this inspiring tale of magic, pirates, romance and the power of imagination as it delights vistors and local audiences once again.
