After more than four years on Broadway, one of Disney’s newest blockbusters has finally come to Boston. Running through August 5 at the Boston Opera House, Aladdin brings the 1992 film to life, complete with the songs you love by Alan Menken, Tim Rice and the late Howard Ashman, along with a book and new lyrics by Tony Award nominee Chad Beguelin, the mind partly responsible for such stage smashes as The Wedding Singer and Elf The Musical. Follow the adventures of street urchin-turned-hero Aladdin as he discovers a genie-inhabited magic lamp and wins the heart of Princess Jasmine, all to a scintillating score.
