The Flavors of Fall

Nothing says fall flavor more than the trinity of pumpkins, squash and apples, so it’s no surprise that Time Out Market Boston has all of that covered and more as part its Fall Hard Cider Festival on October 16 from noon–10 p.m. Apples are ably represented by the presence of hard cider from five of the area’s best cider makers, who pour pints from noon–5 p.m. And Time Out’s regular food vendors have the gourd side of things covered with special treats ranging from Union Square Donut’s pumpkin maple praline roll (pictured) to butternut squash gnocchi from Michael Schlow’s Italian Kitchen. Specialty seasonal cocktails created by renowned craft cocktail maven Jackson Cannon and others are also available from Time Out’s two bars. This fun fest is not just about filling your belly, though. At 7 p.m. on the lawn along 401 Park Drive, visitors can take in a free screening of the beloved, filmed-in-Salem movie Hocus Pocus from 1993. And if that wasn’t enough, there’s also live music from local bands throughout the day, ensuring that there is truly something for everyone at this family-friendly autumn celebration.
