In what is sure to be a joyous and dazzling return, Montreal-based Cirque du Soleil once again graces the Boston area with its latest creation, Crystal. In a first for Cirque, this grand performance taking place at Agganis Arena June 1–12 combines its usual sparkling costumes and acrobatics with an ice skating spectacular. The storyline follows the title heroine as she embarks on a journey of self-discovery that takes spectators on a wild ride through her imagination. Audiences will be awe-struck as the ground-breaking circus troupe continues to push artistic boundaries on both the ice and in the air, showcasing synchronized skating, freestyle figure and extreme skating, alongside traditional circus disciplines such as swinging trapeze, aerial traps and hand to hand.
