Sake at the Speedway

Celebrate World Sake Day a full 24 hours early as Japan’s signature beverage is showcased for the second year in a row at Sake Day East at the Charles River Speedway on September 30 from 5:30–8:30 p.m. Taking place at the Speedway’s Garage B and at the Hub’s first sake bar, the nearby Koji Club, this event features samples of various types of the rice brew from a choice selection of producers, including Massachusetts’ own Farthest Star Sake. There’s also food from Firefly’s BBQ and Formaggio Kitchen as well as handmade Japanese pottery from Koko Utsuwu on hand. VIP ticketholders can gain early admission as well as sips of some rare, reserve sake and exclusive souvenirs. For a small additional fee, patrons can access several focused, early afternoon tastings at The Koji Club with proprietor Alyssa DiPasquale that highlight some of the best and most exclusive sake found in the Boston area, bringing the Far East a bit closer this fall.
