Boston Fashion Week officially kicks off on September 23 with a fashion show and shindig at One Federal Street in Downtown Boston. The high-fashion fun continues until September 30 and beyond with an opening reception for a photography exhibit by Tracy Aiguier highlighting clothing by local designers (September 26 from 5–7 p.m., Lafayette City Center Passageway, 2 Avenue De Lafayette, pictured); the live fashion installation Couture Thinking (September 26 from 7–9 p.m., W Boston Hotel, 100 Stuart St.); and many other events centered around Downtown Boston, with additional happenings taking place in locales from the Back Bay to Cambridge’s Kendall Square to Boston’s suburbs.
