Celebrating a Century of JFK

This year marks a century since the birth of one of the 20th century’s most influential figures, Massachusetts-born President John F. Kennedy. To honor the occasion, the John F. Kennedy Presidential Library and Museum debuts the new exhibit JFK 100: Milestones & Mementos, which features 100 items drawn mostly from the museum’s collection that reveal the man behind the near-mythic figure. Beginning May 26, view objects from both JFK’s military service and political career—including a flag from his World War II patrol boat, PT 109, and notes relating to his landmark address on civil rights—as well as personal keepsakes from his childhood all the way up to his time as the 35th President of the United States, some of which have never before been on display. Also enjoy a special birthday celebration taking place May 29 beginning at 9 a.m., which includes a military band and a U.S. Navy flyover.
