Social Dining

As the ever-evolving Seaport District continues its expansion, its restaurant scene has only become richer and more vibrant. The latest contributor to this heady atmosphere is The Social Register (401 D St., 857-496-4104, socialregisterboston.com), located in the hip Aloft Hotel and across from the popular Lawn on D. With a décor inspired by its namesake publication (a who’s who of Boston’s elite that began publication in 1890), this new hot spot features a long list of small plates (like teriyaki bacon skewers, pictured) perfect for sharing, along with original craft cocktail creations served from a penny-encrusted bar. Looking for something fancier? Dine like an aristocrat on entrées ranging from flat iron steak to seared duck breast.
