The Boston Pops truly lives up to its name when it welcomes singing sensation Andy Grammer to the Symphony Hall stage for its season opener on May 9. Grammer, a multi-platinum selling pop artist known for such hits as “Keep Your Head Up” and “Fresh Eyes,” is joined on stage by Pops conductor Keith Lockhart (pictured above, center), who enters his 23rd year at the helm of the orchestra. The inaugural 2018 concert also features a tribute to Massachusetts native and classical music icon Leonard Bernstein in honor of the 100th anniversary of his birth. Speaking of which, Lockhart leads a separate Bernstein-centered celebration on May 11, 12 & 17, while a Disney-themed matinee takes place May 12 & 13. Other upcoming concerts feature a guest appearance by British singer Alfie Boe, who belts out classic rock staples from The Who, Queen and Led Zeppelin on May 15 & 16.
