The Hub’s beloved Boston Pops opens its 134th season in grand style, welcoming special guest and Broadway legend Bernadette Peters (pictured above with Pops conductor Keith Lockhart) to the stage at Symphony Hall on May 8, along with a tribute to the 50th anniversary of the moon landing. Speaking of space, May 10, 11 & 14 feature live accompaniment of John Williams’ score to a screening of the 1977 classic, Star Wars. Travel back in time, if not space, on May 15 & 16 with the program Summer of ’69, highlighted by an appearance by folk singer and Woodstock veteran Arlo Guthrie along with the music of The Beatles, The Who and more.
