Check out these seasonal sipping sites while the warm weather lasts

The Anchor (pictured): Located adjacent to the historic Charlestown Navy Yard, this outdoor, multi-faceted, multi-level playground with a view boasts adult beverages from regional brewers like Lynn, Mass.-based Bent Water, Framingham, Mass.-headquartered Jack’s Abby and Portland, Maine’s Lone Pine. There are also canned cocktails, soft drinks for the kids (and designated drivers), food, and plenty of fun and games, including live music, dancing, comedy and, if that qualifies as entertainment in your world, fitness classes.

Cisco Brewers Seaport Beer Garden: The bustling Seaport District has hosted this lively locale sponsored by the Nantucket-based beer, wine and spirits maker for five years, although now at a brand-new, larger location just down the road. The 2022 edition boasts Mexican food from Rexicana as well as live music. 

Owl’s Nests: An endeavor of Everett-based craft brewer Night Shift, these dual sites along the Charles River—one on the Esplanade and another at Christian Herter Park in Allston—pour Night Shift’s popular ales and lagers and host a rotating array of food trucks serving a variety of cuisines. There are even two satellite locations in Cambridge, with one set to debut in late June along with another in nearby Charlestown.

Garden on the Greenway: Boston’s oldest summer beer garden—the Rose Kennedy Greenway oasis operated by the much-lauded Fort Point-based Trillium Brewing—returns, welcoming thirsty patrons to the heart of the city to sample IPAs, fruited sours and more. Food trucks complete the scene Wednesday through Sunday, serving everything from pulled pork sandwiches and porchetta to jambalaya and shawarma. And don’t miss Trillium’s more permanent beer garden in the Fenway.

The Green in Partnership with Untold Brewing: A bit farther afield, craft brew aficionados on the South Shore can now head to the second annual beer garden at Hingham’s Derby Street Shops hosted by the Scituate-centered suds maker, who also serves wine, cider, non-alcoholic fruit seltzer and the occasional guest brew. This family-friendly space is open select Fridays and Saturdays from 2–9 p.m. and features live local music and QR-code-based ordering access to many nearby eateries.
