Coming Out of its Shell

Fishing and seafood are part of the fabric of New England life, especially here in the Boston area. To celebrate this still-vital maritime industry, the historic Boston Fish Pier in South Boston once again hosts the ninth annual Boston Seafood Festival on August 7 from 11 a.m.–6 p.m. Ticketholders receive the privilege of sampling a wide variety of finned and shelled delights while also enjoying an oyster-shucking contest, live music and dance performances, chef demonstrations, the 2022 induction ceremony for the Boston Seafood Hall of Fame, activities for the kids and even—shiver me timbers!—roving pirates. Extras include a lobster bake and liquid refreshments at two beer gardens hosted by nearby Harpoon Brewery. A great day on the Hub’s waterfront is sure to be had by all at this much-anticipated extravaganza, so reserve your tickets now.
