Indulge in eveyone’s favorite course—we’re talking about dessert, of course—to aid a worthy cause when the state-wide Bakes for Breast Cancer Massachusetts fundraiser comes to the Bay State October 7–13. More than 140 restaurants, cafes, retail shops and bakeries are participating, with many of Boston’s most prominent dining destinations getting in on the action. Throughout the event, each venue dedicates 100% of sales for one of its signature sweets, or half of the proceeds from its entire dessert roster, to help raise money for the research of Dr. Rachel Freedman, whose clinical trials are targeted at finding treatments for older breast cancer patients. Feed your sweet tooth without guilt on all kinds of confections from Flour Bakery + Café, Tatte Bakery & Café, Yvonne’s, Sorellina, Kane’s Donuts, Formaggio Kitchen, Figs, The Beehive, The Tip Tap Room and more for a week that benefits those in need.
