Art aficionados have reason to celebrate fall in the Hub once again as the 24th annual Boston International Fine Art Show returns to the Cyclorama at the Boston Center for the Arts October 20–23. Whether just browsing or looking to buy the latest masterpiece to adorn the walls of your home, the Gala Preview on October 20 from 5:30–8:30 p.m. is one of the best ways to experience this showcase of art dealers from both here and abroad. Enjoy fine food to match the art, as well as live jazz and admission to the weekend viewings, which boast more than two dozen exhibitors representing art of multiple eras in just about every medium imaginable. There are also special features and events Friday through Sunday that include lectures on art collecting, a panel led by six key female gallerists from throughout New England and free advice from art restoration expert David Manzi, as well as the new Emerge section that gives a stage to emerging and mid-career artists. This yearly boost to the South End’s already vibrant art scene is an opportunity for both veteran art collectors and curious beginners that’s not to be missed.
