After a hiatus of many years, the beloved Boston Wine Expo makes a welcome return to delight oenophiles and wine novices alike March 25 & 26. Held at the Boston Park Plaza’s Grand Ballroom, this tasting extravaganza offers two sessions each day from 1–3 p.m. & 4–6 p.m., as well as early VIP access from 11 a.m.–12:30 p.m. Expect a wide array of both foreign and domestic red, white, sparkling and dessert wines (and perhaps a nip of premium liquor as well) from dozens of exhibitors, along with experts who can answer all your (ahem) pressing questions about the vino on hand. There is also an educational focus to the proceedings thanks to the locally based Commonwealth Wine School, which hosts six separately ticketed classes covering the wines of Bordeaux, Australia and even the Northeast region of the United States, among others. Although more intimate in scale than the previous incarnation, the 2023 edition is nevertheless set to offer an experience sure to dazzle attendees with its depth of insight into the world of wine.
