Celebrate the LGBTQIA+ community this June at these fabulous happenings

Boston's LGBTQ Past: Boston By Foot—in conjunction with The History Project, an organization dedicated to documenting and preserving New England's LGBTQ past—leads this tour on select dates in June that illuminates the culture and lives of the city's LGBTQ community of yore. The first tour takes place June 6 at 6:30 p.m., with the final excursion taking place June 29 at 3 p.m.

Boston Pride for the People Festival & Parade: This June 8 extravaganza begins with a colorful procession at 11 a.m. that commences in Copley Square before winding through the South End and finishing at the festival site on Boston Common. Expect performers both local and national, as well as a block party later that afternoon on City Hall Plaza catering to the 21+ crowd.

Pride Night at Fenway Park: The Boston Red Sox host the Philadelphia Phillies on June 11 at 7:10 p.m. for the team’s annual celebration of the local LGBTQIA + community. Ticketholders receive a special Pride-themed Sox jersey, while early arrivals can revel in the Pride Party on the Samuel Adams right field roof deck.

FPAC x Wicked Queer Double Feature Screening: The Fort Point Arts Community (FPAC) and the LGBTQ+ film organization Wicked Queer join forces on June 14 from 7–9 p.m. at the FPAC Assemblage Art Space for this showing of the documentaries Storme: The Lady of the Jewel Box, a portrait of the drag king icon, and Playland, a boundary-pushing blend of fantasy and history about the city's oldest gay bar.

Friends of Dorothy: Take a road trip to the Groton Hill Music Center in Groton, Mass. and experience the glorious sounds of the Boston Gay Men's Chorus on June 15 at 7:30 p.m. in this two-hour concert showcasing hits from Elton John, Wicked and The Wiz alongside a campy spectacle full of dancing, outrageous costumes, glitter and much more.
