Experience a hidden world of colorful insects when Cirque du Soleil’s OVO comes to Boston University’s Agganis Arena July 19–28. The famed Montreal-based troupe once again graces the Hub, this time with a love story between a vivacious ladybug and a quirky newcomer, both of whom are overcome with fascination along with the rest of their teeming community when a mysterious egg appears in their midst. Other characters, from musical crickets to acrobatic ants and butterflies, populate an elaborate forest-like set that serves as a spectacular backdrop to this fantastical tale that features an international cast of more than 50 performers who flip, fly, crawl, glide and flit across the stage.
