New England’s largest provider of homeless services—the venerable, vital Pine Street Inn in Boston’s South End, which serves nearly 1,400 people on a daily basis—has been putting its mission to end homelessness into action for more than 50 years now, none of which would be possible without its many donors and volunteers. Become one of those generous folks at Summer Inn the City, one of Pine Street’s biggest annual fundraisers, which returns to celebrate its landmark 10th anniversary on August 2 from 6–9 p.m. at the Artists for Humanity building in South Boston. Hosted by Pine Street’s Innbassadors, a group of the Boston area’s up-and-coming leaders that are committed to helping the organization thrive, the soirée features delectable food, refreshing seasonal cocktails and fun live entertainment, all in support of Pine Street Inn’s efforts to move those in need from the streets and shelter to permanent homes.
