It’s been a long time coming, yet sure to be worth the wait. After many delays, pandemic-related and otherwise, High Street Place in Downtown Boston is set to open as the Hub’s latest celebrity chef-packed food hall, offering a wide array of cuisine from some of the best culinary minds in the city. One of the biggest names involved is Tiffani Faison of Sweet Cheeks Q and Orfano fame, who is helming not one, but three new concepts at High Street: a throwback pizza joint (Tenderoni’s), a seafood and raw bar (Dive Bar), and a Champagne-centric wine bar (Bubble Bath). There’s also a few other familiar names and faces involved, including an offshoot of Cambridge’s popular Jewish dining destination, Mamaleh’s Delicatessen; a new location for gourmet doughnut fave Blackbird Doughnuts; the ninth outpost for sushi experts Fuji; a second storefront for Bay Village breakfast sandwich specialists Mike & Patty’s; and a dozen taps from the North Shore’s acclaimed Newburyport Brewing. New concepts serve everything from pho (Kutzu) and Middle Eastern street food (Hum’Oveh) to fried chicken (Haley Jane’s) and craft cocktails (Daiquiris & Daisies). With 20 vendors from which to choose, a giant LED video screen and eye-popping decor that includes a five-story atrium and a green wall, High Street Place and its 20,000 square feet of food, art and entertainment is sure to be the place to be once Mayor Michelle Wu cuts the ribbon at its official unveiling on March 2.
