Indulge in the famed Italian Christmas Eve repast at these fine eateries

Bar Mezzana: Celebrate a day early at chef Colin Lynch’s modern Italian dining destination where patrons can experience the South End kitchen’s interpretation of the tradition with a multi-course seafood dinner on December 23 at 6:30 p.m.

Davio’s Northern Italian Steakhouse: On December 24 from 4–11 p.m., most of the Boston area locations are offering a prix fixe, three-course seafood meal. The menu varies by locale, with the Back Bay flagship featuring octopus, shrimp, scallops, lobster, cod loin, clams and lump crab—and yes, before you start counting, that adds up to seven.

Il Casale: Head to Boston’s northern suburbs (the heart of historic Lexington, to be precise, with an additional location in nearby Belmont) for acclaimed chef Dante de Magistris’ take on festa di pesce per la vigilia di natale, a four-course extravaganza with pesto grilled shrimp, octopus salad, grilled striped bass and more.

Ristorante Lucia (pictured): There’s no better place than Boston’s North End for Italian food, so Lucia is the ideal spot for a December 24 visit. Located on Hanover Street, the neighborhood’s main thoroughfare, Lucia boasts an à la carte menu highlighted by fried calamari, baked stuffed clams, lobster fra diavolo and salmon risotto that is also available for takeout

Tuscan Kitchen: The Seaport outpost—as well as locations in Burlington, Mass. and Salem, N.H.—serves a menu featuring four dishes plus dessert, including zuppe di pesce (a tomato-based soup bursting with mussels, clams and shrimp), baccala cake, linguini topped with sea urchin crema and squid, and baked Sicilian swordfish.
