High 5: Thanksgiving Feasts

Let these fine area establishments do all the work as you and your family celebrate America’s favorite feast in style

Abe & Louie’s: The classic Back Bay steakhouse serves hungry patrons November 23 from 11:30 a.m.–9 p.m., dishing out starters like butternut squash soup bookended by pumpkin cheesecake. The star, of course, is sure to be the all-natural, Vermont-raised turkey, accompanied by whipped potatoes, roasted Brussels sprouts, stuffing, cranberry sauce and gravy.

Artisan Bistro: Spend your holiday at this luxurious restaurant ensconced inside The Ritz-Carlton, Boston. Savor a four-course, prix fixe menu highlighted by selections like grilled shrimp, roasted turkey, twin filet medallions, mushroom lasagna and seared bass, not to mention creative finishers like pumpkin torte and pecan tart.

Davio’s Northern Italian Steakhouse (pictured): This local staple continues its tradition of Thanksgiving repasts that blend tradition with a Mediterranean flair. All locations seat patrons on November 23 from 11 a.m.–8 p.m., with some doing a take-home version as well.

Nubar: The elegantly modern dining room at the Sheraton Commander in Cambridge’s Harvard Square boasts a sumptuous buffet from noon– 7 p.m. offering everything from soup and salads to a carving station, seafood and pies along with other sweet treats for dessert.

Plimoth Patuxet Museums: Located near the site of the first Thanksgiving, this famed living history museum offers an annual array of dining options surrounding Turkey Day. Choose the New England Harvest Feast November 4, 11, 18, 19, 22, 24 & 25, which serves authentic 17th century fare accompanied by the singing of centuries-old psalms; The Story of Thanksgiving Dinner on November 23 & 24, which features a traditional meal along with historical performances; or the Thanksgiving Day Homestyle Buffet, a communal repast of roast turkey, hand-carved sirloin and more fixings than you can shake a Pilgrim hat at.
