Boston Gardens

Another spring tradition in these parts is the annual Hidden Gardens of Beacon Hill Tour (beaconhillgardenclub.org/tour) on May 18. Opening up a world the general public normally doesn’t see, this self-guided tour hosted by the Beacon Hill Garden Club upholds a tradition that goes back to 1928. Visitors can pick up tickets and maps at an information table set up at the corner of Charles and Mt. Vernon streets, and then head out on their way to peruse the nearly dozen private green spaces that are being highlighted. There’s no better way to enjoy a leisurely day strolling the charming, brick-lined streets of Boston’s Brahmin stronghold.
