The folks behind popular North End restaurants North Square Oyster and Ward 8 have branched out into the neighborhood next door with a new concept—Bodega Canal (57 Canal St., 617-833-4885, bodegacanal.com), a spacious Mexican eatery with a flair for nightlife. Located in the sports bar-dominated West End near TD Garden, this hot spot features a rustic-with-a-touch-of-luxury decor, as well as live DJs on Thursday through Saturday nights until 2 a.m. Diners aren’t left out, of course, as menu highlights include fresh-made guacamole, creative tacos (buttered lobster, anyone?), grilled corn and plenty of margarita and sangria options. Whether in the area for a pre-game meal, post-concert drink or a night on the town, Bodega Canal looks to keep the fiesta going seven days a week.
