More to Sea
In coastal areas like Boston, boating can be a way of life. For those of you who feel a kinship to the sea, there’s the 63rd annual New England Boat Show taking place at the Boston Convention & Exhibition Center from February 10–18. Browse dozens of the latest vessels, peruse state-of-the-art boating gear, get professional advice at various educational opportunities, pilot a boat via a virtual simulator, participate in kayaking and fishing demonstrations, and enjoy cooking tips from the chefs at South Boston’s Coppersmith on the convention floor. Kids can get in on the action as well as the expo offers areas where the little ones can build their own toy boats and check out actual U.S. Coast Guard ships. Contests and giveaways also abound, so there’s no reason for the nautically inclined not to rush down to the Seaport and indulge their inner skippers.
