Celebrate Bastille Day by indulging in fine Gallic cuisine at these local faves

 

Petit Robert Bistro (480 Columbus Ave., 617-867-0600, petitrobertbistro.com, pictured): Enjoy moules frites, escargots, coq au vin and more for lunch, dinner and Saturday and Sunday brunch at this South End staple owned by Paris native Loic Le Garrec.


The Hungry I (71½ Charles St., 617-227-3524, hungryiboston.com): A Beacon Hill institution for nearly four decades, chef Peter Ballarin’s romantic, cozy hideaway features warming fireplaces and a garden courtyard perfect for summer noshing on menu specialties like venison au poivre noir.

Miel Brasserie Provençale (InterContinental Boston, 510 Atlantic Ave., 866-344-8769, intercontinentalboston.com/dining): Named for the French word for honey, the airy dining room and outdoor terrace at the InterContinental Boston’s flagship eatery offers wonderful water views as well as dishes inspired by the south of France.
