March 5, 1770 lives in infamy in the annals of Boston history as it was the day five citizens were killed by British soldiers in the incident that came to be known as the Boston Massacre. Located along the famed Freedom Trail, the Old State House illuminates the circumstances surrounding this tragedy through a multimedia exhibit, which is especially poignant since the bloody skirmish took place right outside its walls 249 years ago on a spot that is marked by a cobblestone circle.
