In a Pickle

A briny paradise descends on the Seaport when the third annual Boston Pickle Fair takes up residence at the Innovation and Design Building on June 22. Two sessions—from 10:30 a.m.–1:30 p.m. and 2:30–5:30 p.m.—are available, which both allow pickle aficionados to sample a variety of pickled veggies and pickle-themed foods from all over New England. There’s also a beer garden courtesy of Down the Road Beer Co.—which offers its quirky, spicy dill pickle sour ale Sam-Sam the Pickle Man, crafted in conjunction with Boston’s own Grillo’s Pickles—as well as games, live music and a home pickling contest in which entrants, judged by a panel of local culinary experts, vie for dill supremacy.
