Enjoy this Italian Christmas Eve celebration at home or on the town courtesy of these fine eateries
Davio’s Northern Italian Steakhouse: From 3–8 p.m., sup on sumptuous seafood dishes that include such salt water treasures as shrimp, calamari, halibut, scallops, lobster and little neck clams. The menu is available at all locations, as are holiday cookie decorating kits. Those who are looking forward to Christmas itself yet prefer not to cook, Davio’s is also offering take-home Yuletide meals for pickup on December 23 for those who order by December 21.
Ristorante Lucia (pictured): Bostonians know to look no further than the North End for great Italian fare. This Hanover Street favorite offers an a la carte version of the Feast that features two-person-sized portions of baccala fritters, guazetto di mare pescarese (mussels, shrimp, calamari, scallops and lobster over house-made maccheroni chitarra) and more. Online and phone orders are being accepted through December 20.
Waypoint: Over in Cambridge, this acclaimed Harvard Square hot spot is now taking online pre-orders from its Seven Fishes menu, which includes baked stuffed lobster, shrimp scampi and caviar that can be selected a la carte. The full Seven Fishes menu is also an option, and serves three to five people, with pickup on December 23. Cocktails and wine can be added to your order as well.
Strega Italiano: All three locations are offering a Feast of the Seven Fishes menu for in-person diners from December 17–24. With a different seafood delicacy as part of a seven-course tasting, this one truly lives up to the name, although individual dishes can be chosen.
Il Casale: In the suburbs, both the Belmont and Lexington outposts of this lauded bistro serve up Feast of the Seven Fishes for pickup on December 23 for those who place an order by December 17. Designed for two or more hungry patrons, this festa features calamari, octopus, clams casino and more. Christmas day repasts can be ordered as well, with pickup on December 24.
