Savor Boston, at Home or Away

As there finally seems to be a light at the end of the tunnel for Boston’s beleaguered restaurant industry, the semi-annual Dine Out Boston event couldn’t be more timely. Sponsored by the Greater Boston Convention & Visitors Bureau, this grand showcase for eateries all over the Boston area once again features a wide array of dining hot spots, both new and established, by having them offer special, prix fixe lunch and dinner menus at reasonable price points. From March 14–28, whether you’re in the mood to sample rising stars like the Seaport’s Alma Gaúcha Prime Brazilian Steakhouse and Zuma Japanese in the Back Bay or bask in the warm comfort of tried-and-true mainstays like the North End’s Assaggio, Downtown’s Union Oyster House (pictured), Beacon Hill’s Grotto and the South End’s Darryl’s Corner Bar & Kitchen, this is the opportunity for which you’ve been waiting. In a nod to current times, takeout is, of course, available at most participating restaurants. The return of warmer weather allows for outdoor dining, restrictions are being relaxed and vaccines are rolling out—it’s the perfect time to re-introduce yourself to the joys of dining out. Social media mavens are getting in on the action by posting dining pics to Instagram with the #dineoutboston hashtag in order to win prizes three times a week, and there’s also a special auction March 15–31 to benefit the Boston Black Hospitality Coalition, Boston Cares and the Veronica Robles Cultural Center
