Davio’s Northern Italian Steakhouse: The Back Bay and Seaport locations of this tried-and-true Italian favorite feature a special menu all day on May 9 that includes such brunch indulgences as brioche French toast (Back Bay only) and filet mignon Benedict from 10 a.m.–1 p.m., as well as Maine lobster agnolotti (Seaport only) and Atlantic swordfish chermoula (Back Bay only) from 1–9 p.m.
Harvest: The Harvard Square classic boasts a three-course, prix fixe extravaganza that is highlighted by such selections as lamb tartare, smoked salmon Benedict, and fried chicken and foie gras waffle, along with Ispahan macaron, chocolate tart or strawberry rhubarb sorbet for a sweet ending.
Bistro du Midi: This Mediterranean-flavored gem overlooking Boston Public Garden offers a prix fixe menu with such enticing options as smoked white asparagus soup, soft shell crab Benedict, moules frites and black sesame chiffon cake to accompany its spectacular view from 10:30 a.m.–3:30 p.m.
Bambara Kitchen & Bar (pictured): The Cambridge eatery at the Kimpton Marlowe Hotel gives patrons the choice of dining on site on May 9 (MOMosas and live music on the patio, anyone?), or picking up a “Mother’s Day Breakfast in Bed” kit on May 8 that encompasses brioche French toast along with plenty of fixings, coffee from La Columbe and the ingredients to create the aforementioned fizzy beverage.
Prezza: Celebrate brunch with Mom Italian-style at chef Anthony Caturano’s dining destination in the North End. Really late risers can enjoy dinner later in the day with such dishes as wood-grilled squid and octopus, gnocchi Bolognese and veal Milanese.
