In yet another sign that the Boston dining scene is strengthening after a winter of closing and hiatus announcements, Time Out Market Boston in the Fenway marked its spring awakening on May 13. This diverse dining destination, consisting of a dozen food stalls helmed by a who’s-who of Hub restaurant luminaries, celebrated its opening weekend with the debut of the Time Out Tiki Bar, a new art installation, oyster shucking demonstrations, entertainment courtesy of local DJs and The Boston Music Project, a live stream of the Red Sox game on Saturday afternoon and an appearance by everyone’s second-favorite green monster, Sox mascot Wally. Whether dining on the 6,000-square-foot patio, in the spacious interior or at home through the auspices of various delivery services, patrons can indulge in new and old favorites, including pizza from James Beard Award-winning chef Michael Schlow at Monti, internationally inspired burgers from Nu Burger, Mexican favorites from Taqueria el Barrio, mouth-watering sandwiches and lobster rolls from Cusser’s Roast Beef and Seafood, and fresh, authentic Eastern Mediterranean cuisine at anoush’ella. And don’t forget the refreshments as Time Out’s two bars unveil a baker’s dozen of new libations with such fun monikers as the tequila-based “No Working During Drinking Hours" and the gin-infused “It’s Five O’Clock Here, Screw the Cracker…Polly Wants a Cocktail.”
