Celebrate Mom on her special day at one of these fine establishments
Davio’s Northern Italian Steakhouse: Enjoy a special brunch menu at all Massachusetts locations from 10 a.m.–1 p.m.—filet mignon Benedict in the Back Bay or avocado toast in the Seaport, anyone?—or opt for the dinner menu until 10 p.m. The Back Bay location honors Mom early on May 7 with its Bubbles & Blooms ticketed event from 3–6 p.m., which features savory appetizers along with two glasses from a selection of fizzy adult beverages and chocolate covered strawberries.
Lucie Drink + Dine (pictured): Go the buffet route from 10 a.m.–3 p.m. at The Colonnade Hotel’s welcoming eatery, which offers such temptations as chicken and waffles, glazed ham and a boatload of seafood and dessert offerings. Early birds can even get complimentary potted mums for their moms.
Mamma Maria: This classic North End fine dining establishment overlooking picturesque North Square serves seasonal Italian dishes from 1–8:30 p.m., which can be savored indoors in white tablecloth splendor or besides the ancient cobblestones on the outdoor patio.
Night Shift Brewing: If you’re going to indulge a bit on Mother’s Day, why not start the day with some exercise? The Everett headquarters of the acclaimed craft brewery hosts Mommy & Me Yoga beginning at 11 a.m., while Blanche's Gourmet Ice Cream Truck—waffle cones and waffle tacos? Sign me up!—rolls in from noon–5 p.m. There’s also live music from 2–5 p.m. and, of course, plenty of award-winning brews.
Strega Italiano: From noon–8 p.m., this local chain of Italian restaurants invites diners to treat their Moms with a wide array of delectable items from its spring menu—including rack of lamb, cioppino and Atlantic cod—as well as a free dessert.
